Our intent is to develop confident, creative students by building strong artistic skills, fostering reflection and pride in their work, and encouraging appreciation of artists, cultures, and diverse artistic ideas.

The Art and Design curriculum develops creativity, confidence and technical skill through a broad range of artistic disciplines. Students learn to observe, experiment, analyse and create, whilst exploring the work of influential artists, designers and photographers from different periods and cultures. Through increasingly independent projects, students develop their ability to communicate ideas visually and prepare successfully for further study and creative careers.

Throughout the year, Art Club runs on a Tuesday for all pupils to support and develop their interest in Art throughout their time at the Telford Langley School. GCSE sessions run concurrently and are available to help support students with their coursework and exam projects where they can access more specialist materials and equipment.
